Turning 13

13 - is just a number.

~counting the years you've lived so far.

13 - the beginning of the 'teen' years.

But like I said, 13 is just a number. 

It's what you did in those 13 years that really count.

Did every day of those 13 years actually count for a day? 

Or just another day wasted.

And 13 is just the beginning.

From now, you will change.

Progressively, discontinuously or completely.

You will somehow change.

But whether it's for good or bad, it's up to you.

Don't think you've lost control. 

because you've just gained some.

Don't lose your head in the process however.

Though some may say awful things,

Others will say things of virtue.

Though some criticize.

There'll always be a ready compliment from someone out there.

Because, being you is enough for some people.

Don't change yourself for others.

Change for yourself.

It's not who you were.

It's who you are and who you can be.

Don't be dragged down by those who seek for your downfall.

But lift yourself with the thought that somewhere out there,

there's always someone who's thinking what a great friend you are.

Childhood only comes round once.

13 only comes round once.

Life only comes round once.

So live it to the fullest it could ever possibly be.
