Too cliched, she told me,

So here I go again.

The beauty of life, 

The smile on one's face.

The colour of joy,

The brilliance of hope.

The terror of fear,

The emptiness of sadness,

The feeling of loss,

The darkness inside.

We all have two halves.

Some hide their feelings,

Dig a hole and

Bury them deep down.

The ones who dare,

To reach down that pit

Face the whole you,

And decide to see it through.

These are the people worth living for.

The people worth keeping in your life.

If you ever meet one, never let him go.

Hold on for all eternity.

For if someone can't take you

when you're at your worst,

They certainly don't deserve you

When you're at your best

I have just finished reading "Reckless" by Cornelia Funke... and I've got to admit, it's her BEST YET. The characters are just soooooooo WELL-DEVELOPED. They have SOOO much depth to them... and it's so sad and sweet... and ... *at a loss for words*

It's a beautiful story. =] I hope she writes a sequel! I bet she is... >.> ... =D

Day 22- Something You Want to Learn


I went to Lang Lang's recital at the Sydney Opera House yesterday... hence the lost day... but it was WELL WORTH THE TIME!!! BRILLIANT - to say the VERY LEAST!!! His playing was phenomenal, and his dynamics... oh gosh, his dynamics - that control over his music he has... so enviable! The whole concert was just beautiful...I could've sat there for all eternity... just listening to that heavenly music... The 'Appassionata' sonata and the 'Pathetique' shall be my favourite Beethoven sonatas from hereon!


Ah... glorious times - wish they'd last.


Ok, back to topic. I would like to learn how to play like Lang Lang!!! =]


Day 23- Perfect Words to Describe 10 People You Know.


Ok... this is very hard to do. People can't just be described in one word! That'd just be like trying to fit someone with a personality of great dimensions into the confines of a stereotype - simply impossible! Ok ok... I shall now  attempt the impossible...


I can't do it... I've tried. And I can't. So there you have it. Day 23.

Do you get that feeling when you have finished a piece of work, it looks good and you're like... YAY! So proud of this!!!
And then you look at it again a week or more later ... and you're just like... >.> This is so dodgy...

Anyway, what I'm saying is that... I am proud of myself (modest much? XP) - and other people xD
Pride is good for self-esteem. Just saying. =]

Day 20: Something You're Ashamed Of.

I remember this one thing I did, that I am really ashamed of... This was in Year 1. There was a new student at our school, and I picked on her because her English wasn't very good... and I was a bit of an obnoxious snob back then... so...I picked on her. It was her second day, and I being the stupid prick I was back then, teased her...

Afterwards, I learnt it was horribly wrong, and I never intentionally bullied anyone again... unless it's friendly teasing =]

Don't worry, we became friends afterwards. =] Anyway, that's the most memorable incident.

You know, I just realised that... whenever I'm ashamed for something I've done/said, I always try my hardest to do good things for them afterwards... it's like an instinct of mine...

How perfectly strange. =D

Day 19- If I could live anywhere in the world...


I'd stay right where my friends and family are. Sure, I'd like to travel to places... but there's no place like home.

I was dragged to Junior Dance yesterday - by Jess - so I missed Thursday's post. Therefore, I am making it up now. Junior Dance was more fun than I had originally expected. Jess' piano playing was nice :) Though Jess, I do have to say, Nelson's was better... (just kidding - though he played pretty well =] )


So - favourite song in the history of the world. I really can't decide... so I'll just name top 5 AT THE MOMENT. They change frequently, however, and they are NOT in any particular order. I love them all equally. Here we go:

Day 11- Why You Blog.


At the present moment, I am blogging because of this 30 day challenge. But when I'm not doing this 30 day challenge... then I guess I blog because it's a place where I can express myself? It's like... a place where my voice can be heard. I don't know why I blog... just a place to keep memories perhaps. 

DAY TEN: "Happiness resides not in possessions, and not in gold, happiness dwells in the soul."

Day 10 - Favorite Materialized Object


It's not the material possessions that are the most important to life, but the immaterial things like relationships, friendship, goodness, love, etc. But that's irrelevant to this question. So here we go:


Hm... hard choice - once again. I am a very indecisive person. So I guess my favourite materialized object would have to be one out of these three:


A Book: - Books to me, are like my constant companions. People need stories you know? Just as much as they need food. =]


A Pencil: - You can do so much with a lead pencil. You can write with it, draw with it, tap with it, twirl with it. It puts on paper, what you have in your head. I get very attached to my lead pencils... that's why I feel sad everytime I lose one.


MY Laptop: - That's right! Not just any laptop, but my laptop. Simple. Because I can do almost anything on it.

DAY NINE: “Music is what feelings sound like.”

Day 9 - A Meaningful Song


There are so many songs out there that are meaningful! I can't choose between them! How saddening...
I'll just have to settle with the top 5 then. =]

DAY EIGHT: “To wish you were someone else is to waste the person you are.”

Day 8- Who would you be, IF you could be someone else.


I find that this question, is one of the worst I've ever read. It's preposterous. There's no comparison. Why on earth would you want to be someone else, when you can be perfectly content being yourself. And nobody's perfect, though we aspire to be. So if you did become someone else, you'd still have flaws, just different ones. So there's absolutely no point.


No one is youer than you. So just be you. No point otherwise. And anyway:


“To wish you were someone else is to waste the person you are.”

Day 7- If You Could End One World Issue What Would It Be?


This world has a lot of issues, and unfortunately, we can't solve all of them. But if I had to pick one, it'd be the food crisis. Many people die from malnutrition. And just as many die from obesity. And then there are the ones who have all the food, but just waste it, when it could save someone else's life - instead, they choose to waste it, rather than eat it themselves. If everyone were content with what they had, so many of the world's issues would be solved.


Anyway, the world's too large a scale. Start small. With yourself. Yeah, that's it. That oughtta work.

DAY SIX: Forgive and Forget

Day 6- The Worst Thing Someone Has Said to You


Maybe it's just me... but I can't recall the "worst thing" anyone has said to me. I really can't think of anything... I've wracked my brains... and voila... nada. Nothing. Zilch. Zero. Nil. Naught. It's not that no one has said anything remotely insulting to me. It's just that... I can't think of anything worth remembering? I guess it's just because I feel insulted at the time, but I don't really take it to heart? Who knows, who knows. 


Anyway. 


If I really had to choose something... well then it'd probably be "bitch"?
I really dislike that word. And I dislike it even more when it is used supposedly as a "term of endearment". It's not really a "term of endearment" unless it's an inside joke... and even then. It is distasteful. It's just like calling your friends "whores" and "sluts". It just basically means you have a low opinion of them and thus, you are not really their friends. So yeah. The one thing I get pissed at being called the most... would be "bitch". Oh and "f***ing (insert insult)" I absolutely dislike the word f***. I mean, you don't go around having sexual intercourse with everything do you?

Day 5 - Something You Just Want to Rage About.


So, let me tell you something: I don't do raging. And I'm a good mood today, so I can't really think of anything to rage about. 


Oh maybe just one. But it's not really raging. Just saying that all the people who are like, "oh, my life is bad, my life is horrible." What's the point of moaning about it? Just go fix it. And all these phrases like, "highschool sucks" and "the world is a bitch", etc. Well, high school only sucks if you make it suck. High school is better than facing the big bad world yourself? Hm? Wouldn't you agree? 


Highschool is a place of education. There is bound to be times when you trip and fall, and it hurts and all, but just get back up! Highschool is a place where you make friends. And hopefully, those friends will be your friends for life. 


So don't complain about life until you have walked the shoes of those who have lost everything. Don't make enemies... it's pointless. And hate? I bet those of you who hate, have not experienced it properly. It would most likely be a strong dislike. 


When everyone you love is dead or gone, and you have no home and food. Then you can complain about life. 


Other than that, just make the most of what you have.


Oh. So I did end up talking about something or other...   

Anti-Suicide Pledge

Ok. Just to humour Tracey. I'm posting it. Not that there was ever a chance I would. I'm the one advertising to enjoy life, aren't I? So here goes:

Day 4- One Thing You Cannot Live Without


I don't know about you... but you can't really know what you can't live without until you... just die from lack of it.


Anyway...not taking it literally, then it'd probably be my family/friends (obviously), BOOKS, and MUSIC.  =] But there's something that the world cannot live without, and that is love. So be not afraid to love/be loved. It's the best thing you could ever have...




P.S I have finally finished Romeo x Juliet - much to the cost of my science assessment tasks... but oh well! At the end... I was just like - WHAT IN THE WORLD?! How'd it come to this?! 


P.P.S Today was meant to be Rapture/Judgement Day. To all of you who went around hugging your enemies and that sort of sentimental stuff. Well, do that very day. :)  Live like you were dying. 

DAY THREE: Don't just exist. You must LIVE!

Day 3 - Greatest Ambition

I must say, I'm not much of an ambitious person. But I would like to think, that my greatest ambition would be to enjoy my life to the fullest, and at the least, leave a memory of myself somewhere, sometime. :)

We've only got one life. Might as well spend it doing what we want. :)

That's about it... I guess. :D

Day 2 - A Weird Fact About Yourself


So, after wracking my brains for some weird and random fact about myself that's actually worth blogging about... I have finally come up with three:


1. I like cartoons/animated movies. A lot. Oh and movie soundtracks. I dislike MA 15+ movies, etc. 
2. I like ribbons and floor-length dresses. Like the ones with hoop skirts, etc.  
3. I like video games - but never manage to play them.


So... you're probably thinking... wow... but I just really love them. I'm a sucker for Disney/Pixar movies especially. But I like all animated movies. And the soundtracks. Mustn't forget the soundtracks! I love all movie soundtracks. Call it a fetish if you want... but I just do! I love listening to instrumental music. :D


And then... there were ribbons and full-length dresses... I guess it's just the whole fairytale thing I have going? But I really do love floor-length dresses.


And last but not least... Video Games. I... can be called obsessed... about graphics. And video games, have AWESOME graphics. Plus anime :D


So there you go... 3 random/weird/little-known facts about myself.

This... is a dilemma. First day off... first question..................and I can't even answer it.
I don't actually have a greatest fear... 
Oh, wait. It might be falling. I believe that's my greatest fear. 


My greatest fear is falling. I hate falling. I don't know why. Maybe it is because I have "trust issues"...? 
But I'm not the sort who would have such a thing. I usually take people at their word... some may even go so far as to call me gullible.


But I just hate falling. Perhaps it's just the inevitable thud and jolting pain when you hit the floor. Or perhaps it's because there's no one to catch me? Maybe it's because I've been left to pick myself up every time I fall. But there's no definitive reason as to why I fear it so much. If everyone knew the reason behind their fears - most people wouldn't even have a fear anymore. 


Hence - the legendary Jennifer ... is afraid of falling.

The Sound of Settling

My desk is situated beneath a window looking out to the west. It's situated that way, so that everyday, I can see the sunset and be glad that I have lived another day, if only to see such a beautiful thing.

My bed is placed next to a window looking out to the east, so that every morning, I wake up to the glorious sunrise, glaring into my face, reminding me, that it's a new day, a new start, in a wonderful world.

And so it is, and so it'll stay - brilliant, to the end of the day.

New Resolution

So, I have finally decided to make this a proper blog (of some sort). I am going to post stories, poems, and little things about my awesomely boring life. I'm going to read this in two weeks and think how stupid I am. But, oh well. Every single post is going to be titled as a song name. :) Let's see how long I can keep it up.
